More redecorating

She looks so innocent sleeping, doesn't she?
When you were growing up, your mother had, at one point, warned you that looks can be deceiving~right?
Until one morning, last weekend, there used to be two shelves on the wall, where there are four little black dots, just underneath the wreath.
Little Miss Destructive has taken care of that, at 4:30am, as in the morning.
Clearly she did not want the shelves on the wall, and I just did not know it. Now the offending shelves are sitting on a table, next to my embroidery machine. With their contents laying beside them, I still am at a loss trying to figure out what to do with them next.
In case you were wondering, the wreath has been taken down too, because I know that would be next. I can just see myself, in the very near future, going in at 3am, finding her on tiptoe, stretched as far as her little body will accomodate her, trying to pull it down.

I don't know at what point between 2am and 5:30am she was satisfied with her endeavors, finally stood on tiptoe to turn her light off, crawled back in bed, and pulled the covers over herself to fall fast asleep.
I have to be honest, it kinda breaks my mommy heart that she has completely removed/forced me to remove, all of the knicknacks, pictures, shelves, etc. that decorated her room. There was so much time spent decorating her big girl room, so many shopping trips picking out just the right thing to go here or there. But this just shows, clearly, that I am the one who cares about material things like this. To Jordan, right now material things are meant to be played with and enjoyed. Otherwise, they serve no useful purpose. I am sure this will change to some extent as she gets older and matures more. Is this a life lesson I am supposed to learn?
